Fall 2024 Creative Writing Contest Winners
The Blue River Bard came together as a creative writing club in the fall of 2023. As out first event, our new online club held a creative writing contest and invited Murray College students to showcase their writing and win one of two cash prizes. Our inaugural categories included poetry & lyrics and short fiction & creative nonfiction. In the category of poetry & lyrics, Justin Whittington won with his poem entitled "Feather in a Storm." In the category of short fiction & creative nonfiction, Hailey Helmke won with her short story entitled "Who am I?"

Join The Bard
The Blue River Bard Is always seeking new works for our annual publication. You may submit your work for consideration. Writers will be notified if their works will be published in the 2025 edition of the bard.
Our Creative Writing club fosters a supportive community for aspiring writers and artists. Engage with like-minded individuals and stretch your creativity. Join us each month for our online meetings. Open to all enrolled MSC students
